A short guide about Mount Robson

Come and visit Mount Robson – with an elevation of 3,054m, it is the highest peak in the Canadian Rocky Mountains World Heritage Site. Located in British Columbia's second oldest park – ‘Mount Robson Provincial Park’ was established in 1913 and is an important conservation area - with a huge amount of undisturbed wilderness, it lends itself to hiking, wildlife viewing, camping and fishing.

Mount Robson is a premier ecological feature of the park, as it protects the headwaters and first 100km of the Fraser River - British Columbia's most important river and the largest salmon producing river in the world. The sheer size and diverse nature of Mount Robson National Park means that visitors to the area can choose from a variety of activities ranging from those suitable for families with small children, to those appropriate for expert mountain climbers.

Hike along Mount Robson’s numerous trails for all levels to enjoy - from beginner to the experienced. The Berg Lake Trail is also the access route for climbing Mount Robson itself, which is considered extremely challenging. The water in Mount Robson's lakes is fed by melt water flowing from glaciers, they are icy cold and swimming is not a key feature of the park. Moose, Yellowhead and Whitney Lakes, located along the Highway 16 corridor, each have a boat ramp and are suitable for canoeing and boating.
