There are many museums in town and the night life is interesting. The Croatian coast is among the most beautiful in the world with unique cities like Split with its Diocletian palace or Dubrovnik which was the rival of Venice for centuries. Hvar Island is the sunniest island of the Adriatic which has also been chosen as one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world.
Plitvice is Croatia's most famous National Park. It has many lakes and waterfalls and is ideal for hiking or trekking. The region of Dalmatia is beautiful with untouched nature and a thousand islands. The Island of Ciovo is only 25 km away from Split and is connected by bridge to Trogir, a little town under the protection of UNESCO.
Fazana and the islands of Brioni is just a little north of Pula, and was a summer home for the Caesars during the Roman Empire. ‘Stone Age Man’ also dwelt here with the dinosaurs and you can see still their footprints in stone.
