For beautiful colonial buildings, visit the cities of Guanajuato, Oaxaca, and Merida. Don’t forget the bustling markets at the highland town of San Cristobal and the silver city of Taxco. Archaeological sites in Mexico are vast and varied, but their rich culture reveals a wealth of ancient ruins and colonial towns. Here you can uncover the mysteries of the Mayas at Chichen Itza, and the Aztec culture of Teotihuacan.

Northern Mexico offers some amazing sights and its best to start in Chihuahua City for a culturally enriching experience. Visit the 18th-century cathedral, the Government Palace, and the former home of Pancho Villa. Travel to Nuevo Casas Grande and visit the most important archaeological site in northern Mexico. Set out on a train journey through the Copper Canyon on the Chihuahua al Pacific Railway arriving in Los Mochis over 16 hours later, after passing through Creel, Divisadero, and El Fuerte.
