If you’re planning on visiting the Bungle Bungle National Park there are some fantastic gorges within; such as the Echidna Chasm in the northern section and Cathedral Gorge in the southern section of the park. Both are about 1 hours walk from the National Park car park, although if you've got the time and the energy a 10 hour walk of the Piccaninny Gorge is also worthwhile.

The ‘Cathedral Gorge walk’ follows a dry creek through the striped bee-hive sandstone domes of the Bungle Bungle National Park and the spacious caverns of the Cathedral Gorge rise high into the sky, making everything else seem insignificant. Another walking track at Echidna Chasm runs from 1.5 to 3km long and is an interesting hike along a narrow gorge.

The best way to gain a perspective of the Bungle Bungle's massive size and spectacular scenery is by taking a scenic flight over the massif by helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft and these flights are available from Halls Creek, Kununurra or Warmun. Hiking, camping, photography and just observing nature can take a couple of days in these beautiful surroundings. If you explore nearby Picaninny Creek and Gorge, make sure you are well prepared, as the deeper you go, the more spectacular it gets.
